چکیده

The study was conducted to compare between nine cottonseeds genotypes (Gossipum hirsutum L) which included, two locale Iraqi Coker 310 and Lachata are three of the Bakhtegan, Khordad, Varamin from Iran, four them Cafko, Dunn 1047, Montana, Stoneville America (USA) on fiber quality. field experiment designed with randomised complete block design using replicates in Grdmal village, south Erbil, is 30 km far centre Iraq. Statistical analysis traits shown significant differences among cotton genotypes, significantly maximum strength, elongation protein yield (33.20, 6.80 118.27) recorded by first Iraq’s genotype Lachata. Highest values fitness fibre weight plant -1(4.70 microner 6.64 g) were Bakhtegan Iran’s genotype. Maximum value for uniformity (85.10 %) also Khdorda From principal component (PCA) shows angle each variables elongation, strength ≤ 90 º it means there correlation via versa

genetic analysis of yield and some associated traits in upland cotton (gossypium hirsutum l.) genotypes

in this study six genotypes of upland cotton (g. hirsutum l.) were crossed in a half diallel (6×6) mating fashion. the parents and f1s were planted in a complete randomized block design with three replications at the hashemabad cotton research station (gorgan) in 2005. cotton yield and some agronomic traits were evaluated. analysis of variance showed that differences due to genotypes were signi...

QTL analysis for early-maturing traits in cotton using two upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) crosses

Making use of the markers linked closely to QTL for early-maturing traits for MAS (Marker-assisted selection) is an effective method for the simultaneous improvement of early maturity and other properties in cotton. In this study, two F2 populations and their F2:3 families were generated from the two upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) crosses, Baimian2 × TM-1 and Baimian2 × CIR12. QTL for ea...

Inheritance and variation of lint yield and fiber traits in a partially introgressed (Gossypiumbarbadense L. × G. hirsutum L.) population of cotton

The objective of this study was to evaluate a partially introgressed (Gossypiumbarbadense L. × G. hirsutum L.) population of cotton for two years. The traits that studied were lint yield per plant, lint %, fiber length, fiber strength and micronaire. A total of 31 cytogenetically stable lines (2n=4x=52) were produced from a cross between a G. barbadense line, Carnak and a G. hirsutumline, 4S,...

Using Remote Sensing and Soil Physical Properties for Predicting the Spatial Distribution of Cotton Lint Yield

This field crop research study addresses the potential of image based remote sensing to provide spatially and temporally distributed information on timely basis for site-specific cotton crop management. Universal applicability of site specific crop management is hampered by lack of timely distributed and economically feasible information on soils and crop conditions in the field and their inter...
